<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge realizing increase in the reliability in terms of electrical connection between the input electrical contact of a process cartridge and an output electrical contact provided in the main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus in mounting the process cartridge to the main assembly of the image forming apparatus, and to provide the electrophotographic image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A movable operation member 142 is provided to be movable relatively to a cartridge frame. After the process cartridge B is mounted in the main assembly A of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus, the member 142 is displaced by driving force transmitted from the main assembly A to the process cartridge B. The member 142 is engaged with a displaceable member 147 provided in the main assembly A so as to move the member 147, in interrelation with which the output electrical contact 144a is moved from a retracted position to an electrical connecting position against the elastic force of an elastic function member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
