摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus variable of a cooling capacity in order to improve improving characteristics of a product magnet by controlling the structure in an alloy for neodium based magnet and capable of reducing the cooling capacity in a high temperature zone without reducing the cooling capacity in a low temperature zone affecting the productivity according to cooling time particularly, to provide a strip casting apparatus provided with the cooling apparatus, and to provide a cooling method . <P>SOLUTION: This cooling apparatus is constituted by using a cylindrical rotating body divided with a front chamber and a rear chamber and further, covering the front chamber firstly staying and passing through a cast strip with a thin plate so that the cooling speed becomes slow. The cast strip can be shifted from the front chamber to the rear chamber with the action of an inclined fin etc., fitted to the thin plate covering the front chamber by changing the rotating direction of the rotating body and thus, the alloy structure, particularly, the distribution state of the neodium-rich phase affected to the magnet characteristic can be controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
