<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of performing recover from a power-saving mode to a normal operation mode at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: A printer has a CPU 2001 for controlling the printer, a flip-flop circuit 11005 for retaining a flag which represents that the mode has been changed to the power-saving mode, an HDD for storing a main program for control, and a SDRAM 2002 for storing the main program read from the HDD. When a signal for causing the printer to undergo a change from the power-saving mode to the normal operation mode is input, the CPU 2001 reads the power-saving mode flag from the flip-flop circuit 11005. If the flag indicates that the mode has changed to the power-saving mode, the main program is read from the SDRAM 2002; and if the flag does not indicate that the mode has changed to the power-saving mode, the main program is read from the HDD, so as to control the printer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
