PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box for transferring a glass substrate capable of correspond to several kinds of the glass substrates with different distances between both supported side ends of the glass substrate by a common transferring box. SOLUTION: One side face pad with a plurality of supporting channels for supporting both side end parts of the glass substrate, and a movable side face pad 18 facing this are inserted into a box main body 2, and one movable side face pad 18 is movably mounted to the other side face pad so as to make a distance between the supporting channels facing each other changeable, and a freely stretchable and contractible prop 12 is arranged between the back face of one movable side face pad 18 and a facing box side plate 8. It is thereby possible to correspond only by movement of the movable side face pad 18 without preparing boxes with different sizes on different sizes of the glass substrates when the glass substrates with different sizes are transferred.
