PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame body for an LCD panel which is low-cost and has high cooling characteristics, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the frame body for the LCD panel to which the LCD panel, having a TFT substrate with a plurality of pixels formed thereon into a matrix form, a counter substrate placed opposite to the TFT substrate via a prescribed gap in between, and a liquid crystal held in the gap between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate, is attached, the frame body has a metal film formed on a frame body core part surface made of a resin material.
