PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a photoreceptor drum and a cleaning blade. SOLUTION: A magnetic brush charger has superior electrostatic charging performance, is ozoneless, and is effectual in smoothing the photosensitive drum 1 and removing the deposits thereof. A lubricant, such as a toner, becomes less between the photosensitive drum 1 and an edge 71c of the cleaning blade 71 by smoothing effect, as a result of which the friction force of the edge 71c is increased, and the chatter omission of the toner is increased. Thereupon, inorganic particulates having a lubricating effect are incorporated into at least the edge 1c. As a result, the hardness of the edge 71c is increased, and the follow-up characteristic to the ruggedness on the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 will degraded; but since the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 is smooth, the full cleanability can be ensured.
