PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garage opening/closing system exhibiting the sufficient effect of an authentication function by not allowing anyone to open/close a garage by an illegal means while preventing a lowering of effectiveness of security. SOLUTION: This garage opening/closing system comprises a remote control device and a garage opening/closing means. The remote control device is provided with a fingerprint data reading means, a fingerprint collating means and an opening/closing signal transmitting means. The opening/closing signal transmitting means is provided only when the fingerprint collation result is successful. The garage opening/closing means is provided with an opening/closing signal receiving means capable of receiving an opening/closing signal, and an operating means for opening/closing the garage according to the received opening/closing signal.
