PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scope attaching and detaching device for reliable and simple attachment and detachment. SOLUTION: An endoscope apparatus comprises: a scope provided with a first connector part where a light guide for guiding light from a light source device to an observation surface to be irradiated passes through and a first magnet is embedded; and a processor provided with a second connector part in which a light guide insertion part to insert the light guide is formed and a second magnet for generating the attraction force with the first magnet is embedded and which is to be fitted to the first connector part by the insertion of the light guide and attracting force with the first magnet. The first magnet is a permanent magnet, the second magnet is an electromagnet and the attracting force is generated when the second magnet is energized. The second connector part is provided with a first switch which is turned to an OFF state to turn the second magnet to a non-energized state before the light guide is inserted to the light guide insertion part and turned to an ON state to turn the second magnet to an energized state when the light guide is inserted.
