PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for fishing having a level-wind mechanism having light and good handle-rotating performance and improved easiness of assembly. SOLUTION: The reel for the fishing has the level-wind mechanism constituted so that a fishline may parallelly be wound on a spool 9 installed in a reel body 1 so as to be freely rotatable by reciprocally moving a fishline-guiding body 14 having a fishline-guiding part 14a having an engaging member 17 engaging with a traverse cam shaft 15 rotating so as to be interlocked with the rotation of a handle 5, on the traverse cam shaft 15 in the right and left direction. Both of a rolling bearing 18 and a delivery gear 20 are installed in a small-diameter part 15b formed at the power-transmitting side of the traverse cam shaft 15 and constituted so as to be integrated with the traverse cam shaft 15.
