The stapler or tacking machine (1), to fasten and secure the ends of wave springs in beds and chairs, has a spring tensioner (5) with a claw (6) to hold the free end of the spring (4) attached to a frame (3) at its other end or a second fastener clip (2). A draw rod (7) grips the spring tensioner, with support at the outer end side of the frame, to bring the clip into position over the frame and be secured by the machine.
