A narrow fabric produced on a crochet or Raschel warp knitting machine includes a draw thread (E) so that it can be brought into a three-dimensional spiral shape. The fabric includes at least two yarns (A, B) to form wales and two transverse opposing weft yarns (C, D). The wales form the outer edge of the fabric. The yarns can be elastic or inelastic with a diameter between 0.08 and 0.4 mm and of different colors. The draw thread (E) can be at the center of the fabric and can be picked up by machine or manually to gather the fabric and twist it to a spiral. Alternatively the draw thread can be positioned to one side of the fabric.
|
