Structures for outdoor displays, this invention relates to temporary high-rise structures suitable for outdoor displays, particularly advertising displays, where the displays can be seen from great distances. The structures include at least two structurally interconnected, mutually supported, stacked, structural vertical elements each formed of a plurality of rows of prismatic containers positioned one on another. The high-rise structures reach heights where wind forces and wind shear are factors which must be considered in their construction. In order to retain stability, the various rows of containers and the several sides of the structure are interconnected and mutually supported. In addition, one or more tension rods are positioned diagonally across a face of the structure and additional buttressing elements such as various profiles, cables, struts, braces and the like, can be used to further stabilize and support the high-rise structures. |
