<p>A capping arrangement (230, Figure 1) for mounting upon the rims of boundary wall of a container, either to change the profile of a rim to facilitate resting/stacking, to strengthen or protect the rim and/or to effect fastening together of adjacent boundary walls to form a container corner, is based upon a channel-shaped body (232) of plastics or other materials defining a channel (240) (Fig 6(a)) into which the rim fits, or if at a carrier adjacent rims fit, between body side walls. One and possibly both sidewalls includes a flap (242A) connected by an integral hinge (244A) that carries one or more projections. When the flap is closed the projections (2461A, 2462A) ... extend across the channel towards the other sidewall; when the flap is open the projections clear the channel to permit a boundary wall to enter. Each boundary wall has a through-aperture into which the projections) are pushed when the flap is closed and the projections) and the other sidewall (or other flap) form fastening means to keep the capping body mechanically secured to the rim.
