TRANSGENIC BIRD AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING THE SAME

It is intended to provide a G1 transgenic bird, which is obtained by incubating a fertilized bird egg, microinjecting a replication-incompetent retrovirus vector encoding a useful protein into the embryo at the early stage following the blastoderm stage immediately after laying, then hatching the egg to give a G0 transgenic chimeric bird, and crossing the G0 transgenic chimeric bird with another G0 transgenic chimeric bird of the same type, its offspring or a wild type bird; and the offspring thereof.
