<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents intermediary server capable of adapting a contents delivery system provided by a contents service provider and having permeability between a user and the contents service provider and having less load for both user and contents service provider. <P>SOLUTION: The contents intermediary server 1 comprises a purchase request receiving section 11, an address detecting section 12, a contents identification information detecting section 13, a user settlement information detecting section 14, an intermediary server settlement section 15, an address substituting section 16, a purchase request identification management section 17, an address adding section 18, a contents receiving section 19, a format conversion section 20, a contents transmission section 21, an address storage section 22, a settlement storage section, and a format storage section 24.
