<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost watt hour meter by simplifying a current bar structure and reducing processing cost, by solving the problem wherein, though a Hall IC is often used hitherto as a current sensor, a special processing is required on a current bar of this type in order to heighten a magnetism collection effect. <P>SOLUTION: This watt hour meter has a constitution wherein a current sensor 3 having a magnetic impedance (MI) effect is used, and arranged with an illustrated position relation to current bars 6.
