PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor cooling structure that can secure the thickness of a liquid film even at high-speed rotation, and also secure high cooling performance without increasing the power loss of a rotor, in the rotor cooling structure that cools the rotor by utilizing the flow of the liquid film. SOLUTION: The rotor cooling structure has a cooling face 11 opposed to a rotating shaft 1, and is constituted such that a cooling medium fed from the center of the shaft flows along the cooling face 11. The structure is characterized in that the end of the cooling face 11 to which the cooling medium is discharged is reduced in diameter (14), or a ring-shaped protrusion is formed at the end of the fooling face to which the cooling medium is discharged.
