PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display information acquired by network communication so that a viewer can easily see the information. SOLUTION: In a TV main body part 10, data of multimedia information including EPG information is stored in a memory when the multimedia information is acquired from a broadcast signal. When URL information is acquired from the broadcast signal, a web site designated by a pertinent URL is accessed through a network communication part to acquire a web page, and data of the web page is stored in the memory. Furthermore, a mail server is accessed at fixed intervals to confirm new arrival mails, and a new arrival mail is acquired through the network communication part when found out, and data of the new arrival mail is stored in the memory. EPG information, E-mails, text data of web pages are transmitted to a remote controller 50 in response to an indication from the remote controller 50 and are displayed on a display device d2 of the remote controller 50.
