PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixer capable of treating a wide range of flow rate as one mixer, and especially, treating flow rates ranging from minute ones to large ones. SOLUTION: This mixer comprises a monolith type column and pipes connected to the column, and is constructed so that a fluctuation (detection; UV 254nm) of a baseline is shown when the following gradient is performed assuming that methanol is used as liquid A and acetone is used as liquid B as shown in Figs. (a) to (f). Here, the gradient is A 100%→A 70% (10 minutes)→A 40% (10 minutes)→A 0% (10 minutes)→A 100%. In the Figs., (a) is used for a flow rate of 0.25 ml, (b) for a flow rate of 0.5 ml, (c) for a flow rate of 1.0 ml, (d) for a flow rate of 2.0 ml, (e) for a flow rate of 3.0 ml, and (f) for a flow rate of 5.0 ml, denoting that mixing efficiency does not change since no time lag occurs irrespective of change in flow rate.
