PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a benzimidazolone compound having clear purple color, used as a purple pigment excellent in solvent resistance, having little thixotropy when used in a paint as the purple pigment and giving the paint excellent in preservation stability. SOLUTION: The benzimidazolone compound is expressed by following general formula (1).
