PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesiveness between a ceramic layer and a metal layer of a glass shaping die. SOLUTION: The glass shaping die comprises a shaping core 2 and protective structures 3 and 4 formed on the shaping core 2. The protective structures comprise first ceramic layers 311 and 412, buffer layers 312, 411 and 413 having a composition containing a ceramic material and a metal material, which are formed on the ceramic layers 311 and 412, and metal layers 313 and 414 formed on the buffer layers 312, 411 and 413. The buffer layers 312, 411 and 413 have a gradation gradually decreasing the ceramic concentration from the ceramic layers 311 and 412 toward the metal layers 313 and 414 and a gradation gradually increasing the metal concentration from the ceramic layers 311 and 412 toward the metal layers 313 and 414.
