PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an integrinαvβ3inhibitor under highly safe and mild conditions in a shorter reaction process without using an expensive raw material. SOLUTION: Methyl 3-methoxy-4-(4-oxopiperidin-1-yl)benzoate which is a synthetic intermediate is passed to afford (2S)-benzenesulfonylamino-3-[3-methoxy-4-ä4-(1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidin-2-ylamino)piperidin-1-yl}benzoylamino]propionic acid which is the integrinαvβ3inhibitor under the highly safe and mild conditions in the shorter reaction process than that of a conventional method for production.
