PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor having improved ESR characteristics. SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor having a capacitor element for retaining conductive polymer by a separator while anode electrode foil and cathode one are wound via the separator, electrolysis paper is used in which the refined solution of a paper strengthening agent, such as polyacrylamide, is impregnated and coated after paper is made as the separator, thus reducing the density of the separator and improving ESR characteristics.
