A distribution manifold between an extruder outlet (20) and a number of molds includes slide valves (40) in two of the branches (30). The valves are operated so that they open alternately, keeping the flow from the extruder constant while one set of molds is being unloaded. The valves can be linked mechanically through a shaft and can be motor-driven. The manifold installation can be temperature-controlled.
