A process for the preparation of a novel antiozonant as well as antioxidant based on functionalized benzotriazole UV absorbers and the process for the preparation thereof having a general Formula I: Wherein R1 and R2 are C1 to C8 linear or branched alkyl; R3 is hydrogen, tert-butyl; X1 is selected the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, tert-butyl and C1 to C12 alkoxy.
