PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio apparatus or the like capable of avoiding wrong settings of correction data used for correcting an audio signal.

SOLUTION: The audio apparatus is provided with: a RAM 31 for temporarily storing the correction data revisable by a user in both a parametric equalizer mode and a bass/treble mode and used for correcting the characteristic of the audio signal; and an EEPROM 32 for storing the correction data to be read by the RAM 31 in an updatable way in advance, and a CPU 30 updates the value of the correction data stored in the EEPROM 32 on the basis of the correction data stored in the RAM 31 and inhibits the update of the value of the correction data stored in the EEPROM 32 in the bass/treble mode.
