<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus not only for realizing miniaturization and the simplification of structure, but for effectively realizing high productivity, even when a plurality of sheet transport paths which include retaining parts and retaining paths are provided. <P>SOLUTION: A buffering device 600 equipped with a rotating body 601 freely rotating normally/in reverse is provided to the upstream side in the sheet transport direction of a sheet ejection part 118 in the frame body of a printer 2. The retaining path 123 for temporarily retaining a sheet, a part of a sheet-processing path 122 for transporting the sheet to a sheet-processing device 400, and a part of a retransporting path for transporting the sheet to an image-forming part again are formed along the circumferential surface of the rotating body 601. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
