<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generating apparatus which has a simple constitution and can safely discharge remaining combustible gas, or can reduce excessive energy required for generating steam for substitution, and to provide a fuel cell system using the same and a method for stopping the hydrogen generating apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generation apparatus is equipped with a reforming reactor 1 for generating a reformed gas containing hydrogen from the mixed gas of a hydrocarbon-based raw material and steam, a heating section 5 for heating the reforming reactor 1, a shift reactor 13 for reducing carbon monoxide in the reformed gas and generating a shift gas, a carbon monoxide-removing reactor 16 for generating a hydrogen-enriched gas in which carbon monoxide remaining in the shift gas is more reduced, a first air supply section 26 provided at the downstream of the carbon monoxide-removing reactor 16, and a control means for performing stopping of supply of the raw material and the steam to the reforming reactor 1 and then supplying first air for a prescribed time from the first air supply section 26. In the hydrogen generation apparatus 1, a gas containing steam is supplied to the carbon monoxide-removing reactor 16, the shift reactor 13 and the reforming reactor 1 in this order by supplying the air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
