<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight inorganic board having high strength. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing the lightweight inorganic board comprises preparing a raw material mixture for surface and back surface layers, containing, as main components, a hydraulic inorganic material, a vitreous material, an aggregate, and a reinforcing fiber, and a raw material mixture for a core layer containing, as main components, a hydraulic inorganic material, a vitreous material, an aggregate, and a combustible organic component and/or an inorganic lightweight material, then forming the surface layer mat or the back surface layer mat by scattering the raw material mixture for the surface and back surface layers on a mold plate, forming the core layer mat by scattering the raw material mixture for the core layer on the formed mat, further forming the surface layer mat or the back surface layer mat by scattering the raw material mixture for the surface and back surface layers on the core layer mat, compressing, curing and hardening thus obtained three layer mat, and firing. Thereby, the core layer of the inorganic board becomes a porous structure and the inorganic board is made lightweight. The surface and back surface layers become dense and have high strength, excellent freezing/thawing resistance, and excellent surface design characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
