<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual panel type organic electroluminescent element and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: An array element and an organic electroluminescent diode element are formed on substrates different from each other, and both the elements are connected through a separate electrical connection pattern. In addition, the resistance value of a main electrode is reduced; an auxiliary first electrode doubling as a black matrix and a bank for an ink jet process are included; and the auxiliary first electrode is used as a mask, without adding a separate mask process, to form a bank by a back exposure method, whereby the number of mask processes is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
