PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily assemble and disassemble a hard disk drive unit to its chassis. SOLUTION: The hard disk drive unit 1 comprises a hard disk drive 2 and a chassis 3 mounting it. It has vibration dampers 51 attached to the chassis 3, and a mounting base 4 supported by those vibration dampers 51 and secured to the chassis 3.
