<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tailpiece of a string instrument that enables bridge saddles to smoothly be moved and adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: A bridge main body 30 is fitted to two stud bolts 29 projected on a surface of the body main body 21 so that the bridge main body can be moved and adjusted in extension directions of strings 23 with bridge adjusting screws 37. Then 1st and 6th string support parts 33a and 33b supporting 1st and 6th strings 23a and 23f are projected integrally and closely to both ends of the bridge main body 30. Between the 1st string support part 33a and 2nd string support part 33b, a 1st bridge saddle 45 supporting the 2nd and 3rd strings 23b and 23c and a 2nd bridge saddle 46 supporting 4th and 5th strings 23d and 23f are arranged, and those saddles 45 and 46 are connected to be moved and adjusted in front and rear directions of the bridge main body 30 with saddle adjusting screws 47.
