<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a beverage using juice or leaves of morinda citritolia, by which a fruit beverage or a tea beverage utilizing active ingredients of even seeds in fruits of morinda citritolia (richly containing linoleic acid comprising one of essential fatty acids), or its stems (containing saponin comprising a peculiar pigment) is provided. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing beverage using morinda citritolia comprises the following process: thoroughly crushing seeds in morinda citritolia fruits and separating and treating the crushed solid to produce the fruit beverage; also, cutting unripen fruit into slices; drying the sliced fruit followed by roasting the dried sliced fruit to make fruit tea; crushing stem parts near roots to make them chips; drying the chips followed by roasting the dried chips to make stem tea; mixing the fruit tea with the stem tea; boiling the mixture; adding morinda citritolia leaves to the boiled mixture; and boiling the mixture for a short time so as to produce the tea beverage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
