PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for mounting a spike unit, which enables the spike unit to be simply installed on an upper part of a gate, a fence, a wall or the like in an easily displaceable manner, and which can sufficiently enhance a security effect. SOLUTION: A plurality of spike unit installation surfaces S1 and S2, whereon the spike units 2 can be installed with different inclinations, are formed on the base 1 which is formed of a section with the same cross-sectional shape, so that a plurality of spike units can be installed on them. A lower part of the base 1, which is formed in such a manner as to be wider than the upper part of the gate, the fence, the wall or the like, also functions as a coping. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
