PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain adapter capable of connecting a plurality of small diameter instrument drain pipes to one catch basin in a siphon type drainage system, facilitating maintenance and low in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This drain adapter serving as a joint for the drain pipe is characterized in that one end has the same outer diameter as a hard vinyl chloride pipe defined by JIS-K6741 with a nominal diameter of 125 mm or less, that a plurality of drain outlets 6d are provided inside and that a plurality of drain inlets at the other end correspond one to one to the drain outlets and are formed in the same shape as instrument drain pipes or joint parts for the instrument drain pipes.
