PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone rubber composition giving a silicone rubber after curing, the hardness of which can be easily lowered without deteriorating mechanical characteristics of cured silicone rubber, heat resistance in particular, and such mechanical characteristics as tear strength and elongation can be improved. SOLUTION: This silicone rubber composition comprises (A) 100 pts.mass organosiloxane expressed by average compositional formula (1): R<SB>n</SB>SiO<SB>(4-n)/2</SB>(where Rs each independently represents a hydroxy group or a substituted or non-substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; and n is a positive number of 1.98-2.02), (B) 5-100 pts.mass reinforcing silica with a specific surface area of≥50 m<SP>2</SP>/g, (C) 0.01-10 pts.mass organohydrogensiloxane expressed by general formula (2) (where R<SP>1</SP>s each independently represents a substituted or non-substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; m is an integer of 1-3; and n is an integer of 0-50); and (D) an effective amount of an organic peroxide-based curing agent.
