PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize non-toxic treatment for temporary downregulation of neovascularization (induction of temporary angiostasis). SOLUTION: A method for treating a subject in pathological neovascular condition, includes a process to administer a pharmaceutical preparation containing R'-Glu-Trp-R" dipeptide of an effective quantity and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier to inhibit neovascularization. In one example, the R'-Glu-Trp-R" dipeptide is L-Glu-L-Trp. In another example, the above condition includes angioma. In the other one example, the above condition includes vascularized malignant tumor or vascularized benign tumor. In one more example, the above condition includes neovascularization after recovery from cerebrovascular disorder, neovascularization due to head trauma, restenosis after angioplasty, or neovascularization due to traumatic injury by heat or low temperature.
