PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bolt welding method and bolt welding equipment for welding a bolt on a work capable of reliably holding the bolt with a simple configuration and preventing degradation of a magnet to attract the bolt. SOLUTION: A guide pin 15 is passed through a through hole 11a in an upper electrode 11 in a vertically movable manner, and a magnet 16 is disposed inside a cavity part 15d formed in a lower end 15c of the guide pin 15. When a bolt X is fed between the upper and lower electrodes 11 and 41, the guide pin 15 is protruded below the upper electrode 11 to attract the bolt X to the magnet 16 of the guide pin 15. In this condition, the guide pin 15 is moved upwardly, and a shaft part Xa of the bolt X is inserted in the through hole 11a in the upper electrode 11. After the bolt X and a work W are held between the upper and lower electrodes 11 and 41, and before the bolt is welded, the guide pin 15 is moved upwardly, and the magnet 16 at the lower end is separated from the shaft part Xa of the bolt X.
