The invention relates to a means (1) for fixing, securing or lashing a product, such as a tightening belt, a support belt, a traction strap, a cable, a safety harness or the like, said means being provided with an information means (2) that is fixed thereto. The aim of the invention is to ensure that the marking of said means in accordance with regulations is maintained over a long period of time even under harsh conditions of use. To this end, the information means (2) comprises at least one identifying means (3a, 3b), a tear-proof insert (4) to which the identifying means (3a, 3b) is fixed, and a protective envelope (5) surrounding the identifying means (3a, 3b) and the insert (4).
