PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical method for producing a cream cheese product. SOLUTION: This method for producing the cream cheese product comprises heat-treating WPC (whey protein condensate) aqueous suspension, emulsion or solution showing weak alkaline pH at about 70 to about 105°C for about 0.5 to about 180 min, mixing edible fat supply source with the product to obtain a mixture, heating the mixture to homogenize, pasteurizing the homogenized mixture at a low temperature followed by cooling the mixture, fermenting the cooled mixture together with a culture product suitable for cheese such as cream cheese, mixing at least one kind of stabilizer and salt with the product followed by cooking, homogenizing the cooked mixture and collecting the product.
