<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion prevention method for an apparatus made of duplex stainless steel mounted with a seal material made of expanded graphite and used in a seawater environment. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the corrosion prevention method, in an apparatus made of duplex stainless steel contacted with seawater liquid at the inside and mounted with a seal material containing expanded graphite, carbon fiber or carbon black for sealing seawater liquid, at the time of preventing the corrosion of the duplex stainless steel part mounted with the seal material, in the vicinity of the duplex stainless steel part, and also, on the surface at the side to be in contact with seawater liquid in the duplex stainless steel member integrally composing a conductor, one or more sacrificial anodes each composed of a metallic material whose standard electrode potential is lower than that of the duplex stainless steel in the part to be subjected to corrosion protection are installed so as to electrically connect them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
