PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excessive temperature increase preventing element quickly responding to temperature change even if the temperature on the surface of a moving body as an object whose temperature is to be detected is sharply increased, and also to provide an excessive temperature increase preventing device using the same, and a temperature control element. SOLUTION: The excessive temperature increase preventing element comprises: a temperature fuse 2 formed by electrically bridging a pair of electrodes 14a, 14b by a fuse element 12 made of an alloy fusing at a prescribed temperature and breaking the electric connection between the pair of electrodes 14a, 14b when the temperature exceeds the prescribed value; and a pair of longitudinal plate-shaped elastic bodies 6a, 6b arranged so as to locate on one plane on a space, to the end part or peripheral part of which, the pair of electrodes 14a, 13b are electrically connected through leads 4a, 4b.
