<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED light source which has drastically improved efficiency for extraction of light from an LED and a fluorescent substance, and also has reduced unevenness of color by specifying the shape of resin 60 including the fluorescent substance. <P>SOLUTION: The LED light source comprises an LED element mounted on a mounting substrate, a first resin which includes a fluorescent substance and covers the LED element, and a second resin which covers the first resin. In this LED light source, when the surface of the first resin opposing to the mounting substrate is defined as the upper surface and the surface connected to the mounting substrate from the upper surface is defined as the side surface, the efficiency for extraction of light is improved and unevenness of color is reduced with a structure wherein the relevant upper surface and the relevant side surface are projected in the direction opposing to the arrangement direction of the LED element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
