PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite solid electrolyte membrane excellent in proton conductivity not only at high humidity but also in the absence of humidity which comprises a hydrocarbon oligomer material and/or a hydrocarbon polymer material capable of exhibiting proton conductivity and an acidic group-containing fullerene derivative, and its use.

SOLUTION: The composite solid electrolyte membrane is obtained by adding a phosphate group-containing hydrocarbon oligomer material and/or a phosphate group-containing hydrocarbon polymer material as an adhesive to an acidic group-containing fullerene derivative.
