<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly sensitively detect an analyte contained in a solution by a sensor using a localized plasmon resonance phenomenon. <P>SOLUTION: A chip of structure wherein a head part of gold particles 9 (first metal fine particles) arranged on a surface is projected upwards from a substrate surface of a sensor chip 1 is used as the sensor chip 1 (microfine structure). A substance 17 coupled specifically to the analyte 19 is immobilized onto the gold particles 9 of the sensor chip 1. Gold fine particles 16 (second metal fine particles) immobilized with a substance 18 coupled specifically to the analyte 19 are dispersed in the sample solution. When the analyte 19 is sandwiched between the substance 17 and the substance 18 to be adsorbed on the surface of the sensor chip 1, a plasmon resonance wavelength is changed greatly by approach of the gold particles 9 to the gold particles 16 to detect the analyte with excellent sensitivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
