PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle traveling device for starting or resuming driving control of a vehicle with a suitable target traveling speed. SOLUTION: The vehicle traveling device, when setting operation is performed, decides a traveling speed of a vehicle concerned as the target traveling speed, stores it in a memory as a set traveling speed and starts the driving control of the vehicle. When resuming operation is performed, the set traveling speed stored in the memory is compared with a recommended speed for a road on which the vehicle is traveling. When the recommended speed is lower than the set traveling speed and a speed limit change flag is reset, the recommended speed is decided as the target traveling speed and the driving control of the vehicle is resumed. When the recommended speed is higher than the set traveling speed or when the speed limit change flag is reset, the set traveling speed is decided as the target traveling speed and the driving control of the own vehicle is resumed.
