PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor in which when red, green and blue lights are made to be incident into each photodiode on a semiconductor substrate, a photo-charge by the red light is properly generated in an effective depletion region of the photodiode same as the photo-charge by the green and the blue lights, and also to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The image sensor (100) comprises: a pluratity of unit color cell (CA) coloring a light being incident from outside with different color; a plurality of photodiode (30), which is arranged in an active region of the semiconductor substrate (40), generating/accumulating a series of the photo-charge by receiving a different color light which has passed through the each unit color cell (CA); an interlayer (20) transmitting the different color light having passed through the unit color cell (CA); and a partial shading film partially shading a specific color light which is transmitted to the photodiode (30) by passing through the interlayer (20).
