PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "access standby method for an on-vehicle disk player" which has reduced current consumption when a vehicle stops and suppresses the occurrence of servo noise. SOLUTION: At the access standby of the on-vehicle disk player, whether the vehicle is in a stopping state or not is detected, and at the access standby during the running, a rotation pause control is carried out to keep the position of a pickup, and a tracking servo is turned off at the access standby during the stopping.
