PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which reduces entanglement of laundry during washing, provides sufficient washing power, enables the laundry to easily be taken out therefrom, and performs spin dry with little abnormal vibration. SOLUTION: A stirring plate 20 having prescribed inclination 20a is provided at a stirring blade 15. The rotation of the stirring blade 15 generates vertical water flow in a washing solution in a washing and spin-drying tub 14. Thus, the laundry is moved mainly vertically to prevent entanglement. In addition, acceleration of the rotation of the stirring blade 15 generates the intense vertical water flow of the washing solution 22, thereby the washing power is improved.
