PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas stopper having both waterproofing function and permeability of air in a body. SOLUTION: The gas stopper 1 can prevent water from entering in a space inside the stopper by an O ring 61, thereby preventing the inside of the socket from generating rust by corrosion and depositing scale. Therefore, blemish on both surfaces 15, 20a caused by biting rust or the like between a stopper body sliding part 15 of the body 10 and an outer peripheral surface 20a of a stopper body 20 can be prevented, which leads to less risk of causing malfunction, gas leakage or the like. In the gas stopper 1, permeability between the inside and outside of the stopper is secured by a ventilating member 60. Should gas leakage occur, gas leaks out of the ventilating member 60 so as to accurately detect the gas leakage by inspection after completion of piping. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
